Today is the last day to enter CraftStylish's Tote Bag Challenge. I just completed mine tote bag. I am calling it the Eco-Chic Floral Tote. I entered the eco-chic category. You can read and see more details about it here.

The Tote-ally Crafty Bag Challenge

CraftStylish is hosting a tote bag challenge, Tote-ally Crafty Bag Challenge, where the Grand Prize Packages consist of an official CraftStylish tote bag filled with crafty items worth over $250. The categories are Play Ball, All That Glitters, Eco-Chic, and The Omni-Crafter Special. The deadline to enter is 11:59pm ET on July 31st. Yea!

The Cutest Cupcake Contest Winners

A while back, there was a Cutest Cupcake contest over at Martha Stewart. They have a whole photo album up of the finalists and winners. There were a ton of entries, so judging must have been pretty hard. I really liked this labor intensive one that made it to the finals by Just_Maryam.

Vote for Holiday Softies now!

Voting has begun for the 2007 Holiday Softie Awards over at Softies Central. Mr. Hankey did not make it to the finals, but there are tons of others that deserve your vote. Winners will be announced on November 14th.

Costume-a-thon contest at Etsy

Etsy is hosting the ultimate handmade costume contest, and awarding eighteen winners with over $2,000 worth of prizes. These are the categories: Pet, Kid & Baby, T-Shirt Costume, Sci-Fi, Green, and General Awesomeness. The Judges are from Babble.com, Boingboing.net, Craftzine.com, Makezine.com, Tcritic.com, Treehugger.com, and Threadless.com.

Craft My Ride contest

Scion is hosting a competition for handmade car accessories called Craft My Ride. There are only 2 weeks left to submit. So start up your sewing machines, warm up your glue gun, and thread your needles! The best submission will receive a 2008 Scion xD. Yeah!

Vintage Ads, Modern Products

Worth 1000 has a few contests going on for advanced Photoshoppers. Boing Boing points to this contest using vintage ads to promote modern products. There are a ton of great ads there, but I really like this one for the Nintendo Wii which was created by gugacardo.

Etsy & Instructables: Sew Useful Contest

Etsy and Instructables are pairing up for a competition, Sew Useful to celebrate their two great communities. Entrants use their skills to create practical projects that make life easier, then share their how-to's. It sounds like a lot of fun and there are some great prizes. I look forward to seeing what the community comes up with.

Entries are due June 15th by 11:59pm Eastern time.

Two Upcoming Competitions

There are two upcoming contests that sound like a lot of fun.

The first is the third annual Translations in Tupperware Global Design Contest. Consumers and designers are challenged to create a piece of art or unique functional object using tupperware. Categories include Fashion, Utility Objects, or Free Form. You can see the winners from previous years here.

The second is Craft Magazine's Stitch N' Pitch Contest. This competition celebrates all things needle arts and baseball. There is more about Stitch N' Pitch at The National Needle Art's Stitch N' Pitch. Contest rules and how to enter are here.
