Loose Leaf Tea Canisters

I have been brewing a lot of loose leaf teas lately. I wanted to purchase some nice canisters to hold the teas in. Everything I found in the stores was either really expensive or ugly.

I saw a bunch of tin canisters with Christmas prints in the sale bin at the craft store for less than a dollar each. So, I purchased the canisters, some pretty paper by Paper Source and
Mod Podge. I covered them with the paper and now I have some nice canisters to hold tea.

Adorable. I'm enjoying some looseleaf teas I buy from a local herb lady. Do you have any favorite teas?

Very cool! I have never used Mod Podge but was looking to make something similar.

How did you do the paper on the lids without it getting wrinkled or bunched?

I like to drink a rooibos tea.

To cover the lid, I cut two pieces of patper, a circle and a thin rectangular strip.

Adorable. I love making crafts like that. Makes me want to make my own loose leaf canisters using Mod Podge. Those inexpensive tins, does it store tea properly? Green tea, especially, is supposed to be sensitive to light and air. This is the one I currently own tea

I want to give a suggestion for the best way to tea store proses, tea should be enclosed in an airtight bag or canister with no light to enter and placed in a dry area with no moisture. When stored correctly, your tea can easily maintain its quality for 4-6 months or longer.thank you for the shearing your post.
