Book Inspired Knits - Twilight Series

This summer it has been hot, so I have been doing much more reading rather than crafting. About a month ago I was bitten by the Twilight series written by Stephenie Meyer. They were so much fun to read. I also started listening to a great podcast about the series, Imprint.

As with many other books, this series has inspired a number of knitters. Two that stand out are this great pair of Eclipse socks by Shiny Knits that were inspired by the Eclipse book cover, and this pair of Twilight socks by Chicken Betty that were inspired by the Twilight book cover. I may have to start knitting socks!

Thanks for the props :)
I got bit (Ha!) back in February and thankfully I have spread the infection among all my friends and family so I get to keep on talking about Edward, Jacob and the gang without feeling like a total looney.

um, and you should totally knit socks.

When I first saw these I started spazzing out while frantically looking for a "add to cart" button. To my dismay, I looked up and saw that I was on Blogger. So I raced over to your Etsy shop, but saw no Twilight Socks.

*SIGH*

I want to buy your Twilight socks for whatever price you find suitable. *Edward Cullen puppy dog eyes*

Oh..

OH!!!

Ok, I see, you`re not the person who knitted the socks. My bad, I will check them out.

Thanks for the news though :) Now I know about Twilight Socks!

Those are fantastic! Seeing as you are somewhat 'into' the Twilight series, you've probably seen the trailers. So - what are the chances that you could come up with a knitting pattern for those cool long sleeved cabled mittens that Bella/Kristen wears (just before getting saved from being squished by the truck?) I'd love to try and make a pair!

I used the twilight sock pattern on a wristwarmer, and it worked really well!
